Senator Lito Lapid welcomed the Senate’s approval of the revised Philippine Coast Guard Law, which he co-authored.
Lapid thanked his fellow senators, particularly sponsor Sen. Raffy Tulfo and principal author Sen. Migz Zubiri, for their support of the measure.
He also reaffirmed his support for the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), saying the agency plays a vital role in protecting the country’s waters and sovereignty.
“Sa panahon po ng ligalig ay lagi po nating maaasahan ang ating mga unipormadong servicemen kaya po marapat lamang na maibigay natin sa kanila ang kaukulang pag-alalay ng batas” Lapid said.
