PlayTime Welcomes South American Powerhouse, Bids Farewell to Filipino Dota 2 Core

PlayTime announced the signing of formidable South American Dota 2 roster to its expanding professional circuit. This new chapter comes as the organization parts ways with its original majority-Filipino core roster: Akashi, Pipi, Raven, DJ, and Kuku — along with head coach SunBhie.

A PlayTime representative expressed gratitude to the departing Filipino players, saying, “We thank Akashi, Pipi, Raven, DJ, and Kuku for their dedication and contributions to PT Sports. They helped lay the foundation for our Dota 2 program, and we wish them nothing but the best in their future endeavors.”

What’s next for PlayTime

The team, formerly competing under the banner of “South America Rejects”, brings a proven track record of international competition, most recently securing a 5th-6th place finish at PGL Wallachia Season 8 — a testament to their ability to contend on the global stage. Under the PlayTime banner, the team will continue to pursue high-level competition, beginning with their debut at the 1win Essence I Dota 2 tournament. The Dota 2 PlayTime team is also set to compete in DreamLeague Season 29 as the team aims to earn more EPT points in its pursuit of the Esports World Cup (EWC) and The International (TI).

“The addition of this new roster marks a strategic milestone for PlayTime. These players have demonstrated resilience, mechanical excellence, and the competitive fire that defines our brand. We are proud to provide them a new home and look forward to seeing them fly the PlayTime banner in upcoming international tournaments.”

The official PT Sports Dota 2 roster is as follows:

Players:

  • Hector Maximo Orozco Alza – WITS
  • Oswaldo Gonzalo Herrera Martinez – DARKMAGO
  • Frank Alberto Arias Ayala – FRANK
  • Elvis Joel De La Cruz Peña – SCOFIELD
  • Yelsthin Brayan Verde Hurtado – ELMISHO

Coach:

The new PlayTime roster has been signed to a multi-year contract, emphasizing the esports group’s commitment to building a long-term competitive Dota 2 program. PlayTime continues to expand its presence in the global esports ecosystem, reinforcing its commitment to building championship-caliber rosters and elevating international talent on the world stage.
