The premier hotel by the bay introduces a new art collection at the Gallery C, featuring an artist on the autism spectrum
Conrad Manila presents the 38th edition of its acclaimed Of Art and Wine series with Return & Remember: Places & Home, a solo exhibition by Filipino-Canadian visual artist J.A. Tan, curated by Nestor Jardin. Running from November 19, 2025 to January 17, 2026 at Gallery C, the exhibition features 36 expressive works exploring memory, identity, and the emotional landscapes that shape one’s sense of home.
An artist on the autism spectrum, J.A. Tan is known for his bold, colorful compositions that draw from lived experiences across Vancouver, the Philippines, Europe, and the United States. His latest collection invites viewers into a deeply personal journey through spaces and moments that have left lasting impressions.

Tan. We are honored to share his story and the emotional depth behind his work.”
“Each image speaks of a moment, a place, or a feeling that resonates deeply within me,” shared Tan. “These places have shaped my sense of self. Through these paintings, I bring together fragments of memory to better understand and share my narrative.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Elizabeth Sy, President of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation; Peggy Angeles, Executive Vice President of SMHCC; Mona Magno-Veluz, National Spokesperson of the Autism Society Philippines; Guest of Honor Maribel Calma; Rupert Hallam; and J.A. Tan.
As part of Tan’s advocacy, a limited-edition canvas reprint of Rice Fields, merchandise inspired by his artworks, and a special collaboration bottle of Montecorneo 570 Albe 2021 Grechetto Passito were auctioned at the opening event, with proceeds donated to the Autism Society of the Philippines.
