Manila, Philippines –  AirAsia rewards, the loyalty and rewards platform of Capital A (formerly known as AirAsia Group), has partnered with SM Advantage Card (SMAC), the Philippines’ biggest retail loyalty program by the SM Group, to offer members more rewarding ways to enjoy their points across both programs while further expanding its presence in ASEAN. This partnership was sealed through a signing ceremony on March 5, 2025, at the SM Retail Headquarters in Pasay City.

Through this exciting collaboration “My SMAC, My MOVE,” SMAC members can now make the most of their points with instant two-way conversion—200 SMAC points into 300 AirAsia points or 500 AirAsia points to 125 SMAC Points via the AirAsia MOVE app.

“We are excited to team up with Philippines’ biggest loyalty program to offer a truly rewarding experience for both SMAC and AirAsia rewards members,” said Nicole Tan, Chief Business Officer of AirAsia rewards. “This partnership allows members of both programs to maximize the value of their points, whether by turning everyday shopping into travel adventures or using AirAsia rewards for more shopping perks.”

With AirAsia points, members can unlock not only AirAsia flights but also flights with over 700 airlines, hotel stays, and exclusive travel and lifestyle perks—all seamlessly redeemable through the AirAsia MOVE app. This partnership is aimed to elevate the experience of both travelers and frequent shoppers, making every purchase more rewarding.

“We are excited to launch this collaboration with AirAsia rewards,” said Patrick Cua, Chief Operating Officer of SMAC. “By combining shopping and travel rewards, we’re enhancing the value of our loyalty program and offering more meaningful experiences to our members.”

Meanwhile, Ricky Isla, CEO of AirAsia Philippines, shared, “We are positive that this partnership will further boost the appetite of travel tourism in the country.  This reflects our commitment to making travel more accessible and rewarding for Filipinos.”

Unlock endless possibilities by instantly converting SMAC points to AirAsia rewards or vice versa. Shop more, travel more, and make every moment rewarding.
