Manila, Philippines – Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil, is commemorating its 10th year in the Philippines with a special holiday reunion of three well-loved ambassadors: Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and Jose Mari Chan.
Since its launch a decade ago, Shopee has become a familiar presence in Filipino daily life, especially during the holiday season. From everyday essentials and payday deals to the popular “budol” finds and pasabuy orders, Shopee has helped shape how Filipinos shop online.
The platform’s growth reflects a broader shift in Filipino shopping habits, with many families, small businesses, and local stores embracing digital commerce. Shopee started as a marketplace but has evolved into a trusted platform that connects communities through convenience and shared experiences.
Vincent Lee, Head of Shopee Philippines, reflects on the journey: “Our decade here has taught us that success in e-commerce comes from truly listening to the community. Filipinos influenced how we designed our services — from payment options and delivery to how we create excitement during sale events. This reunion is our way of thanking everyone who has made Shopee part of their everyday life.”
A Decade of Holiday Memories: #Shopee10Pasko Reunion
To celebrate this milestone, Shopee reunited Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and Jose Mari Chan — the faces behind some of Shopee’s most memorable campaigns. Their collaboration brings back familiar jingles, catchy phrases, and festive moments that helped make Shopee a part of many Filipino Christmas traditions.
In the Shopee 10 Pasko video, the three ambassadors revisit iconic looks and signature moments from earlier campaigns, combining nostalgia with a fresh energy that highlights how much the online shopping experience has grown.
Alongside the reunion video, Shopee is launching several holiday activities inspired by users’ real-life experiences. Shoppers are invited to share their favorite Shopee memories on social media using the hashtag #Shopee10Pasko for a chance to receive surprise vouchers. From December 1 to 12, the Shopee 12.12 Voucher Pamasko offers daily in-app vouchers worth ₱1,200. Additionally, shoppers can use the Shopee Unboxed feature to view a personalized review of their purchase milestones over the past ten years.
Continuing to Grow and Improve for Filipino Shoppers
As Shopee looks forward to its next decade in the Philippines, it remains focused on making online shopping more affordable, faster, and accessible for everyone. Efforts include expanding Unlimited Free Shipping, improving delivery speeds to Visayas and Mindanao with new air routes and local warehouses, and the Fulfilled by Shopee service, which allows Shopee to pack and ship orders directly, reducing wait times and costs.
“Our investment in VisMin is personal to us,” Lee adds. “Convenience shouldn’t be limited to Metro Manila, every Filipino deserves fast and reliable access, no matter where they live.”
Beyond enhancing shopping, Shopee continues to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), local brands, and creators. By providing digital tools and opportunities, Shopee aims to empower more Filipinos and strengthen communities.
In the Philippines, online shopping is more than just transactions — it’s a way for people to connect, celebrate, and move forward together.
